Today's guest is Jared Patterson who will be serving as your Texas State Representative.   Here's a little about Jared (from his website)

Texas State House Republican  and native Texan Jared Patterson has called North Texas home for the better part of 36 years.  He currently lives in Frisco with his wife Leslie, and three children Reagan, Austin, and McKinley.

Jared is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where he served as Vice President of his class. He is currently the Director of Energy Services for Rapid Power Management in Carrollton.  For nearly a decade, Jared has served meals to those in need through Meals on Wheels and currently serves as the Outreach Committee Chair for The Energy Professional’s Association of Texas where he organizes philanthropic events.  His efforts have resulted in thousands of dollars to local food banks and to the Dallas-area Habitat for Humanity as well as hundreds of man-hours in service to these organizations.

From 2009 to 2013, Jared served concurrently on the Sachse City Council and Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors where he fought to cut wasteful spending, implement zero-based budgeting and to increase transparency. During his final year on Council, he served as Mayor Pro Tem and on the Executive Board of the regional North Central Texas Council of Governments.

The Pattersons are members of First Baptist Church of Frisco.
